Bed preparation — before I lay anything, I'll clear out weeds, debris,

and old broken-down mulch that's past its useful life.

Correct installation depth — in Perth's summer conditions, 75–100mm is

the effective range. Too thin and you lose the benefit; too thick

around root zones causes problems. I get this right.

Edge tidying — once the mulch is in, I clean up paths, edges, and any

overspill so the finished result looks neat.

Yes — and most of my customers do. A lot of the prep work for mulching

overlaps with a garden clean-up: clearing weeds, cutting back overgrown

plants, removing debris. If you combine mulch installation with a mow

and edge tidy-up, I can do it in one visit, which saves you time and

usually reduces the overall cost.
